What problem were we solving?

Nekter Juice Bar was entering a competitive Lubbock market as a brand-new location. Our challenge was to create excitement around the grand opening and establish Nekter as the area's premier destination for fresh, health-forward food and drinks.

"This advertising campaign aims to establish Nékter Juice Bar as the go-to destination for fresh, healthy, and delicious juices, smoothies, and açaí bowls in Lubbock, TX — creating excitement around the grand opening and driving foot traffic to the location."

What I was responsible for

As Campaign Director, I led the creative and strategic development of the full campaign from initial brief to final client presentation.

  • Market research & audience analysis
  • Copywriting for all campaign touchpoints
  • Leading the team & delegating work
  • Creative direction & visual tone
  • Media strategy & channel planning
  • Client presentation & pitch deck

What we built

We developed a multi-channel campaign targeting health-conscious students and young professionals in Lubbock. The campaign included a 30-second video spot, social media creative, out-of-home placements, and a full strategic pitch deck presented to a simulated client panel.

What was the impact?

A Final grade received
3 Media channels planned
3 Key Performance Indicators Identified
6 Weeks from brief to presentation

The campaign earned strong client panel feedback for its audience insight, cohesive creative direction, and clear strategic rationale.

What I learned

The main thing I learned from this project was how to communicate and effectively lead a team of people to achieve a clear vision.

  • Leading a team means giving clear direction early — ambiguity at the brief stage compounds into confusion at execution.
  • Audience research isn't a checkbox; it's the foundation. Our strongest creative ideas came directly from understanding how students actually talk about health and wellness.
  • Copywriting in a campaign context means every word has to earn its place and work across formats — short, long, static, moving.
  • Presenting to a client panel taught me to defend creative decisions with data and strategic reasoning, not just instinct.

Building a brand online from scratch

The goal was to create a website that felt authentically cinematic — one that could hold photography, case studies, and personal copy without feeling generic. The design had to communicate a clear creative point of view before a single word was read.

What I was responsible for

  • Visual design & color system
  • All copywriting & voice
  • HTML & CSS
  • Responsive layout & mobile UX
  • SEO structure & meta tags
  • Photo gallery curation

What was built

A multi-page portfolio with a reviews section, smooth scroll navigation, a masonry photo gallery, dual case studies, and a clean contact section. The design leans into a dark, cinematic aesthetic — high contrast, editorial typography, and generous white space in content sections.

What I learned

Building this site taught me that good web design is essentially copywriting in a different medium — every layout decision tells the visitor something about who you are before they read a word. Balancing the cinematic aesthetic with usability on mobile was the central creative challenge, and it sharpened my eye for what truly needs to be on the screen versus what can be cut.

Let's Work Together

I'm always open to new oppurtunities, collaborations, questions, or just a chat about films.
